Valence 1.2.0 - Streaming Reveal
How the AI’s words appear is now yours to choose. The streaming effects we previewed last week are here.
What’s new
- Streaming Reveal. Pick the style replies use as they stream in, under Settings → Theme → Streaming Reveal: None keeps today’s instant text (still the default), Focus Pull racks each word into focus from a soft blur, Weight Settle lands every character hot and heavy before it cools into place, and Line Rise gathers words into lines that rise into view. A live preview plays each style before you commit, and the finished reply always settles into the same polished formatting as before.
- Updates find you. Checking for updates on startup is now on by default, so new versions announce themselves. You can turn it off any time in Settings.
Fixes
- Keyboard users can no longer Tab onto invisible menu items while the menu’s “More options” section is collapsed.
