Valence 1.2.1 - Loading effects that love light themes
Light themes just got the same visual delight dark themes have always had.
What’s new
- Ink on paper. On Porcelain, Bone & Ink, Tide, and Dawn, every loading effect now paints as elegant ink on your theme’s paper, hyperspace streaks become colored-pencil lines, the black hole becomes a hand-drawn vortex, Code Rain becomes typeset glyphs, and the CRT terminal becomes a typewriter log. No more dark box appearing over a light workspace while the AI thinks. Dark themes are untouched, same glow as always.
- Every effect, every theme. All 16 effects (plus the classic spiral backdrop) adapt automatically: nothing was removed, and the live preview in Settings → Appearance shows exactly how each one looks on your current theme.
Fixes
- Local models no longer occasionally repeat their own instructions instead of answering.
- If a reply quotes ability syntax in passing, it now stays on screen as normal text instead of vanishing into a failed tool call.
