Valence for Android 1.5.16.3 alpha - A clearer first setup
Clearer first setup, and fewer false “chat nearly full” warnings.
- You can see what happens after the model downloads. The first time the model loads, Valence tries each chip your phone has (AI chip, graphics chip, main processor) and keeps the fastest. That takes about half a minute and used to show only a counter. Now a panel shows which chip is being tried, what each one managed, and why it only happens once.
- “Chat nearly full” no longer appears after a few short messages. A web search’s results were being counted as if they stayed in the chat. They don’t, and the warning now only appears when the chat really is filling up.
